Bogus Basin

FUNDSY 2010 supported the planned Bogus Basin Learning Center and/or expansion of the Learn-to-Ski Terrain. These improvements allowed more children to enjoy the benefits of education, fresh air, exercise, challenge and camaraderie at their local mountain. Bogus Basin, with FUNDSY’s support, hopes to triple the number of kids who have access to what becomes life-long outdoor recreation (winter and summer).

356,080 people were served at Bogus Basin in the 2010-2011 season.

Out of 27,791 lessons given in 2010-2011, almost 18,000 were for beginners, whose experience was greatly enhanced by the new FUNDSY moving carpet. Beginners enjoy the higher capacity, safety, ease of use, and non-threatening lift capability of the moving carpet. This all adds up to greater beginner confidence, which means new skier/boarders learn more quickly and have more fun! The new FUNDSY carpet was used by 7,631 children in the School Nights and LifeSports programs.

From comprehensive exams to restoring a cavity, our volunteer dentists and hygienists provide a full range of dental services to children in need. With the help of local professionals donating their time and monetary donations children are given the gift of a healthy smile. Every procedure is free because we believe that healthy smiles are priceless.
