The 2012 Fundsy Gala will provide the financial means to completely equip the Idaho Humane Society Veterinary Medical Center high volume surgical suite and substantially equip the specialty surgery suite. The high volume surgical suite is an asset that will allow the medical center to double the number of spay and neuter surgeries it performs annually to 20,000 (more than any other facility in the Pacific Northwest). The completed suite will feature four hydraulic lift heated surgery tables, four orbital ceiling double surgical lights, four anesthetic machines, gas scavenging and oxygen delivery system, four anesthetic monitors attached to wall mounted viewing monitors (networked to hospital computer network), instrument stands and transport gurneys.
The adjoining specialty surgical suite will be equipped with a dual ceiling orbital surgical light and video camera, anesthetic machine, anesthetic monitor and viewing screen, instrument tables, surgical table and transport gurney. The medical center will provide affordable spay neuter as well as lifesaving treatment to animals while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
