Terry Reilly will use its share of FUNDSY 2012 proceeds to purchase a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine for their new medical clinic in Boise. Their new building at 300 S. 23rd Street has room for almost three times as many exam rooms as the current facility, increasing from 6 to 15. This will allow Terry Reilly to serve 3,600 persons a year, which is an increase of 1,500 more adults and children than served last year. With this added space, Terry Reilly is also expanding the population served from just the homeless to also target low-income, non-homeless persons.
FUNDSY’s contribution combined with a larger building, will allow Terry Reilly to add a new service in this new Boise site – that of X-rays. In the past, Terry Reilly has had to send patients who needed X-rays to diagnose or treat broken bones, pneumonia, and other injuries or illnesses to a local hospital. Doctors and other clinicians are very excited to have this much-needed tool at their fingertips, which will make patient care more effective and efficient and all members of our community healthy.
Beyond the funding for this equipment, we are honored to be chosen as a FUNDSY recipient and to have our work recognized by the broader Boise community. We look forward to forming new relationships with businesses and individuals and working with them in the years to come.
