Andrew Mitzel serves as the Business Development Director for Wright Brothers Construction. In this role Andrew works to develop and maintain client and community relationships on behalf of the company. Andrew brings over a decade of public relations, government affairs and business development experience to Wright Brothers. Most recently, Andrew served as the Director of Government Affairs for Boise State University where he played a critical role in working to secure $20M in state funding for new building projects on campus. Andrew also served as a senior advisor to Idaho Governor Brad Little. During his tenure, Andrew advised the governor and chief of staff on all areas of local, state and national politics; served as a policy advisor assigned to transportation, tax and real estate issues; reviewed and processed all legislative bills with the governor and chief of staff; and was charged with overseeing the 2020 Idaho Census Committee. Prior to his time in the governor’s office, Andrew served as deputy campaign manager and field director for Governor Little, political director for the Idaho Association of Realtors, and staff assistant for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo. Andrew is a two-time Boise State alumnus receiving a master’s degree in community and regional planning with an emphasis in economic development and a bachelor’s degree in history with a focus on sustainable development utilizing historic preservation. In his free time Andrew serves as a Board Member for Expo Idaho (Western Idaho Fair), he enjoys hunting, skiing, and golfing but most importantly spending time with his wife and 3 year old daughter.
